Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Unsuccessful attempt
Some of these questions come up a lot on all sorts of prestige, performance or classic cars and admittedly it prompts some questions but I am still not clear on why a car that wasn't "used" for several years after being 10 year old or more is "suspicious".

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all,
I'm viewing a C4s this week and I'm after any info on the car the Reg is LT02 WME?
It looks like it was off the road for 2 years 17/19 and I'm interested why
:welcome: to 911uk
It looks like you've viewed the MOT history of the car. It would certainly be interesting to know what the ownership history was between 2013 and now as it seems like it's been lightly used in that time (less than 5k miles in 6.5 years) and maybe not at all for over 2 years.
Be sure to check the service receipts since 2013.
I'd be suspicious if the current owner has bought it recently.
Good Luck
Yes I am a bit suspicious because the owner said he bought the car in March 19 but logbook was changed in December 19? Also the car is sorn and not insured! I'm very ***** when it come to history of any car. I'm going to look at It tomorrow so il update when I know more.
I wouldn't bother seeing the car if I were you, there's already question marks and you may never be reassured! A suboptimal history can be very expensive down the line.

Only have to walk around your local area to see a.myriad of cars laid up on the dives of some houses (hopefully to return to the road before they rot).
Internet in opinions...
The word 'suspicious' was only used in this thread with regard to ownership.
eg:
By this I meant that if the current owner only bought it recently - after the facts show it had been off the road for 2+ years - that they may have bought a lemon and are moving it on quickly.
That said, there are other times when the scenario could be seen as suspicious. eg. These cars do not like being laid up and need to be properly recommissioned. Alternatively they may have been pranged and not repaired through
insurance
, which often takes time.
Of course some cars are often not used as they have been in a private collection, but this one isn't a collectible model and doesn't have the low mileage normally associated with them.
Fair point well made sir!
I am also quite particular about history and timelines, less about whether it adds or detracts to the value more about the story of older cars.
Guess if you can find out why there are gaps it can help you decide the impact or not - if coat get to the why there is always a doubt or risk.
Good luck to OP on sourcing a nice 911
