These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I noticed corrosion on my rotors from condensation during winter storage. It was getting worse every year, so I bought some high temperature caliper paint. I cleaned the rust off and gave them a couple light coats being careful to avoid the braking surfaces. Hopefully this will not burn off and prevent further corrosion. Took time to clean and wax the wheels too.

POST 2Original post

That should be a standard practice when performing brake job, and brake quiet, anti seize etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Jaykay No I didn't. I tested them with a few hard stops and this picture was taken afterwards.

POST 7Original post

If you paint the hubs the same shade of red as the calipers (as you can see that I have done), the caliper and the hub seem to compliment each other nicely. And while you are at it, inexpensive lug bolt cover caps, easily found on such as eBay, eliminates the sometimes scuzzy OEM lug bolt appearance.

POST 8Original post

I did rotor caps with high temp spray paint and they lasted years. I used same paint on lugs as well. Each time I took wheels off for any multi-day work, I hit them with a coat of paint to keep them looking good.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Flouese POR 15 should work but get the high temp for caliper. I think this area of the rotor could get hot.
