The problem is my Mistress refuses to have a parachute attached to its *** to qualify like this GT-R doing 8.62 seconds @173.81mph!

That won't change when the slew of "performance" 991 variants show up with similar power.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
17 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Drove a bunch of GTR still not me..feels like i was back in my Supra days..i guess I'm getting old..haha
What an amazing performance! And of course what a superb driver...
Only 3 seconds difference on a lap between the two. And 2 seconds difference in a straight line from 0-62... That pig really steers incredibly for a front engine heavy Nissan!

911 is officially a "GT" car, as opposed to a "Sports Car".
3 seconds on a 1:20 lap is a lifetime. 2 seconds to 60 is an eternity.
GT-R wins bang for your buck challenge yet again.
Great vid!
I have yet to get anywhere near that sort of flogging and may never, but I fully agree with his assessment. Outstanding steering, sharp turn in, precise placement, no understeer and wonderful sounds even without PSE matches what I am finding.
Face it- cost/performance in the low ~$100k class is the reason for the GTR. That won't change when the slew of "performance" 991 variants show up with similar power. Just way UGLY.
PS the sound of the Hulk at speed is worth the watching.
Well my Cayman S is faster than the Nissan GTR and I can state this because of the following:
1) I passed a GTR on the track
2) No GTR's have ever passed me on the track.
Therefore our conclusion must be that the 2006 Cayman S er "GT" is faster!
:hilarious:

I don't think anyone has "dismissed" it. Just, like the guy who tracked them above, prefers the Porsche. Ok dissed it possibly, but anything that ugly invites that.
I had a 56 Chevy sedan 30 years ago with a warmed over small block that that was as fast in the quarter as the stock GT-R and 991 shown above. The whole thing cost about a a couple of tuneups on the cars in the vids in this thread. It was neat as hell and I wish I still had it. But none of them need be dismissed or dissed.
I have a ton of respect for the GTR and Nissan for developing it.
The only thing wrong?....you can't outrun ugly, and the GTR has it in spades both inside and out. No way could I own something I'd have to sneak up on to just get in it.
just a response to that hulk.. evoms old 997 tt..234mph..texas mile
what's the point? lol stock vs stock the Zr1,gtr and 997TT are almost even.
youre either an import guy, muscle or Porsche guy.. my old C6Z06 was quick but didnt do it for me..
