Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks to the how-to's on this forum, I am very close to wrapping up my thermostat and water pump replacement on my 2006 997S. This repair was necessary after the water pump pulley sheared and left us stranded on the side of the road. At least we were close to some friends with a car trailer. I can't seem to find the torque setting for the where the engine carrier attaches to the motor mount. Does anyone know what it is? I am referring to this nut. Thanks

POST 2Original post

Very good question... I am doing the exact same job on a 01-996 Do we find this sort of info in a shop manual?

POST 3Original post

Yes, and the engine mount to engine carrier bolt (M12X1.5) should be torqued to 63 ft. lb.

POST 5Original post

And the torque for the top bolts is 25 ft lbs if memory serves but good luck getting a torque wrench in there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
