Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

It's not engine oil, checked coolant seems to be ok and power steering seems ok too.
Leading evidence: 'Check coolant seems' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check coolant seems' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Will start with the cap and check the filling area, do you know how hard it is to replace the tank ?

Not too bad to change worst job was getting the engine mount bolts loose.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just as I fixed one leak I now have an unrelated drip.
Very strange it is appearing on the bracket and blot that holds the mufflers.
It's not engine oil, checked coolant seems to be ok and power steering seems ok too.
What's strange is I can't find the fluid high or above where it has appeared.
Any one seen this before ?
im guessing thats the passenger side, nearside? if so the expansion tank is directly above, I would say keep monitoring the coolant level, it could be a new expansion tank required or the exp tank lid is not sealing correctly. are you absolutely sure there is no fluid around the tank filler area? if so could be the tank, they do go back quite a way and you can only see a small part of it .
good luck :thumb:
Fluid
Yes passenger side and you are correct tank above.
There is nothing obvious but as you say it goes back a long way. Will start with the cap and check the filling area, do you know how hard it is to replace the tank ?
They can crack, mine cracked on my C2 along the bottom and it dripped down on to the exhaust. Not too bad to change worst job was getting the engine mount bolts loose.
MC
as mistercorn says, trolley jack under the engine remove engine mount bolts under the car, one at each side sort of towards the exhaust ends and straight up from underneath.
then you can carefully lower the engine about 1-2 inches and just enough room to sort the tank :thumb:
then, after lunch :floor: :hand:  :thumb:
My car came with a new pattern part one and within 2 months it was leaking. read loads of stories online saying the pattern parts are rubbish.
I called my local OPC and they advised that I needed the later one (the cheap one) based on my chassis number 2000 3.4 C4. The old one I removed was the older style so I had to make up a fuel filter mount for the side of the new tank. Old style (£400) and new style (£100) OE tanks are interchangeable.
And despite what others have said I found it a very awkward and time consuming job. It's a basic process but there was a lot of contortion involved and plenty of swearing. I didn't drop the engine as my impact socket wasn't deep enough for the mounts and it felt like they were ready to round or shear on a standard socket.
