Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Firstly, apologies if this has been covered but I'm on a blueberry so difficult to search. I have been offered a pair of 2003 backboxes, so I'm confident these are from a facelift 996. Will they fit a 2000 pre-facelift 3.4 ?

POST 2Original post

yes, I have 2003 facelift back boxes on my 2001 pre-facelift you will need to use your existing tips though

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks. What about 997 backboxes on a 996?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A blueberry. Funny little device - the equivalent of a yuppies filofax from the 80's (well, I do drive a Porshe I suppose)

Right, received my 996 boxes and will be taking them to a local welder this weekend. What is the general consensus with the bypass pipe? Should I take a pipe from the blanked outlet to the outlet pipe, or simply weld a pipe from the inlet to the outlet pipe? Also, I've read on here that about a 1.5" pipe would be best. Is this peoples experience. Also, any pics would help, to show to my welder. I have a few I have found on this site, but any more anybody has would be great. Thanks
