Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Had my 996 TT for 9 months now with no real issues, well apart from hitting my gf from behind buts thats another story , apart from a battery warning light... When it has rained or is raining and i turn on the ignition i have to wait a few seconds for the charging voltage to climb to 13-14 volts as it sits at just less then 12v before hand... This doesnt happen at all when its dry... Other associated problems when the car is wet form being rained on are: * Wipers sometimes judder. * Reversing Sensors somtimes stay on continuous tone. * Alarm has to be set cancel interior IR sensors. The above probs ONLY happen when the car is wet ... My thoughts are: * Battery needs changing/has dodging connected, i.e. earthing. * Car earthing has dodgy connection. * Alternator needs changing, but this doesnt cure intermittant problems? * Alternator belt is slipping, but havent heard the usual screaching for this. Has anyone seen this before? I have had a good search through previous listings etc and cant find a similar issue... Any advice greatly received, before i journey to my dealer.. Cheers

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
