Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Guys...if and when i get this kit fitted, anyone know if its worth adding lowering springs...would this make it look much more balanced or does it not matter Cheers

POST 2Original post

A BIG difference - not only to looks but handling also. Has to be done properly with 4 wheel alignment afterwards. A world of difference if done by some place who knows what they are doing. Mine has Eibachs on. Good compromise between handling / comfort / sore bum and rattling fillings. I'm hoping to get the GT3 kit in a few months.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

sounds good...what sort of cost is involved?...like the car btw

POST 4Original post

Thanks It's been a while since I had mine done. I think it was between £250 and £300 for the springs. Fit them yourself if up to it or get an indy to do it. Here's a link for example: http://www.lkperformancestyling.co.uk/catalogue/eibachprokits/Make/Porsche.html Best wishes, Ian

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Superb Ian....i will def consider this work....i thought it would be much more expensive....sounds like it improves the ride quality also....dont suppose you have a comparison photo before and after Cheers Steve

POST 6Original post

This is a pic of my C2 (ignore the GT3 badge, its gone now!!) with GT3 kit and Bilstein PSS9 which lowers the car around 30mm, the stance in my eyes is perfect! Gets lots of comments from admirers! I would definitely recommend lowering the car, it makes such a difference to the looks, and the handling (if set up correctly) is sublime. Just did a track day at knockhill on sunday in the pouring rain and the car was planted!

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If i lower the car 30mm...with a GT3 kit fitted will i encounter problems with speed bumps? Steve

POST 9Original post

I agree with UFO on this with the GT3 kit you need to slam it - in terms of speed bumps I never had any problems dropping mine by 30mm however I didnt have the kit on mine - I think the front PU is slightly deeper on the GT3 kit but im sure you'll be ok. On another point i'd remove the rear wiper as it looks odd with this kit IMHO of course -Simon

POST 10Original post

Steve, Never had any problems with speed humps with the kit, I actually find that the chassis grounds before the kit does over the worst of the speed bumps, but nothing to worry about, just a little rubbing......and rubbing's racing!.....or something!
