Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Post a pick. I'm sure I'm not the only one that doesn't click out of the way links with foreign names.

POST 5Original post

either a hack....or someone dropped a non-turbo engine into the car (after a possible death) and changed the rear logo... Did you PM the guy and ask? I'd be curious to hear the answer... Also $42K is a little high for that car

POST 6Original post

Whatever it cost him to do that "mod", he just devalued his car by a factor of x10.

POST 7Original post

There is a guy with that same mod on 6speedonline with a C2 in red.

lols yea, have you seen the thread? 8 out of 10 people think is "Cool" lols... Money dont buy you Taste...

POST 10Original post

Trying to make an excuse, maybe it helps prevent sucking lots of water when speeding in rain. I think I just got a CEL light speed boating to work this weekend. Got back in the car last night to go for some team building beers then home and I notice the CEL. I start thinking the light must be wrong. Then I remember tons of water in the dark that morning while sensining out the handling. When I get off my butt the durametric better tell me whats up. I figure the MAF got a treatment. Coil packs weren't cracked 5k miles ago. Anyway nothing visible when checking under the lid.

I might ask him just for fun... Cause the front lip is C4S, badging is too... just that weird scoop lol.

POST 12Original post

Those are aftermarket Turbo replica scoops, basically fake scoops molded onto the quarter panels. No big mystery there.

Now that is a first for me. Who would do this to a nice C4S and who would buy it?

POST 17Original post

Oh, man. That's just wrong in so many ways... Wouldn't it be easier to have a vinyl stick-on that looked like a scoop?

POST 18Original post

Stupid question here: Is it a good idea to cut holes in a car where holes don't belong?

POST 20Original post

Ed is going to get a pair of those, then he is going to fit them on the front hood for some extra cooling for his air sucker!

POST 21Original post

why is that such a no-no if somebody put side scoops on nb 996, is that worst than puttin a vette motor in a porsche? i thought it was all about what the owner likes.

POST 22Original post

Quotes source post: 7811638

It's perhaps not as bad as that, but at the same time, trying to sell it might prove to be more difficult, especially to an enthusiast. On an off topic note, very clever user name.

POST 23Original post

At the risk of offending anyone who has done this ludarcis mod to their (otherwise perfect) car... Why not just buy a mustang? I am fairly certain they come with a stock "faux-intake" on the rear quarterpanel without going through all the trouble of cutting holes in an (otherwise perfect) Porsche... If good old uncle Ferdinand wanted an intake on the NB he would have spoken from the grave to ensue it was placed there.

+1, it's the one little minor thing that gives it completely away, especially if they messed around with the rear.

POST 25Original post

If anyone buys them they can borrow my Sawzall to install.
