Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here come the four bangers again: Porsche testing four-cylinder Boxster at the Nürburgring - Autoblog TO

POST 3Original post

I dont mind it, the base will be a 4 banger, hopefully a flat 4, and the S, GTS, and possibly GT4 will have flat sixes. That isnt bad. As long as there are options, heck i would take a 981 with a 4 banger for the right price, there are always engine swaps down the road, and its still a porsche engine, the fact they are at the rind means they are still serious about it, cant be any slower than a 986 base, likely as fast as an S though.

POST 4Original post

Hard to believe that Porsche is going to develop a new flat-4 just for the Boxster. Only makes sense if there is a new entry level chassis (below the Boxster/Cayman) in the works too.

POST 5Original post

To my understanding they scrapped the entry level car. They likely did this because the reception would be better for an entry boxster rather than an all new car all together. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

POST 6Original post

Porsche like other manufacturers need to meet coming fuel efficiency and emission standards and like others are downsizing and turbocharging.
