Best i can say is that i would fit them again and definatly get a geo done each time you change any suspension component.

Suggestion

When i was down last week he was saying that powerflex now don't recommend the blacks for every day use, mainly due to squeaking, not going to degrade or fail just a small chance they may squeak.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is any one living with a Powerflex poly bush suspension set up Is a bearable or a bad idea? :?:

POST 2Original post

Fully polybushed all round, apart from new gt3 bottom arms Good mod, tightens things up nicely, bit harsher and a bit more road noise but well worth it. Don't use black bushes in bottom arms though, stick with the purples, the blacks may squeak

POST 3Original post

Have the black in my bottom arms and no problems at all (touch wood). The front ones needed a little modification, though Powerflex are in the process of changing the design of the fronts to eliminate this need.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys Is it safe to install the front end kit first and the rear end set at a later stage? Is a full geo needed for each end?

POST 5Original post

I'd do it all at once as you will need a geo each time. The arms have to be taken off to remove the old bushes and to pop the new ones in. My old bushes were delaminating and it took a bit of persuading to get them out. Speak to Chris at Center Gravity, he did mine.

POST 6Original post

Chris did mine as well, got everything done, front and back, at the same time. When i was down last week he was saying that powerflex now don't recommend the blacks for every day use, mainly due to squeaking, not going to degrade or fail just a small chance they may squeak. Best i can say is that i would fit them again and definatly get a geo done each time you change any suspension component. Very labour intensive when we were doing the whole car, we spent a whole day with two of us just doing the bushing
