Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I am about to perform the 12k scheduled maintenance on my Cayman and was curious if anyone put different brake fluid in? I will likely take my car on the track a few times this summer, and some recent threads have made me wonder if I should get a better brake fluid. What are the downsides of non-OEM fluids? Do they need to be changed more often? Thanks!

POST 2Original post

For track use you should use Motul RBF 600. This is much better than the OEM fluid, and will cause no problems whatsoever. Each dealer interprets warranty stuff differently - you should get your closest dealer's opinion. If their opinion is unacceptable, start shopping around for a different dealer.
