MEET, DRIVE & DINE - SUNDAY 12/17 - GERMANTOWN, MD

SUNDAY 12-17-2006 MEET, DRIVE & DINE FORCAST - SUNNY AND 63 MEETING PLACE: Starbucks - Milestone Shopping Center - Germantown TIME: 10am - 11:15am WHY: You don't get many of these days in winter... This Sunday would be a GREAT time for all of us to get together... We will meet in the parking lot at Milestone Shopping Center by Borders Books and Starbucks... We will chat, exchange stories the head off for a spirited drive through upper Montgomery Co. & lower Frederick Co. ending at the beautiful Whiskey Creek Golf Course in Ijamsville... The drive should last about 1.5 hrs or less for some arriving at Whiskey Creek between 12:30 and 1:00!!! If you've never been to Whiskey Creek you're in for a treat as the view is one of the best... I've scoped out what will be a very challenging course to Whiskey Creek with lots of open roads with lots of twisties!!! It is a 50 miles drive for me.. Me and my C2 would love to attend, do we need any kind of membership? I have 2 more good friends with p-cars who might want to join us...

No membership needed. I will try and make it. These are always fun!

The C2 was at the doctor today for her Oil change, everything looked fine underside... she is ready to go

Appears we're going to have a good turnout on a GREAT day... I drove the route again today and it should be a lot of fun... Weather - SUNNY & 64... Good friends; Good weather; Cruise in a Porsche!!! Life is good... See you tomorrow!

Yes.. Many took photos of today's run and will be posting... Thanks for participating and we hope to see you in the spring... I'll make that run longer and even more challenging...

I'll try to get a couple more up then. We got around 200 pix, but a lot were at the sky and the road as my wife had a hard time taking steady pics during our "spirited drive."

Thanks Ken, it was truly one of the greatest days of my life. WHENEVER you get the urge to go again (please before spring) let us know. Oh, and I put just a few more pics up, I couldn't salvage much, but my wife did a pretty good job considering. I'd really like to get a copy of the group shot if that's possible. And if anyone else got any pics please post them. What a great day.

Ken - +1 on thanks for organizing everything. Great event & route - found lots of good roads in my own backyard. Wish I'd had time to finish but had to bail out at route 80. Thanks again!
