Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

As I understand it, it would just cover labour for replacing/rebuilding the engine and not the replacement unit itself?

Suggestion
yes, but only OPC tend to just replace the engine, rather than rebuild, due to the high OPC labour cost (150 an hour vs 60)
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Any body use this scheme?

Any more info on the extent of cover.
Would it cover catastrophic problems like the dreaded intermediate shaft failure? Just looking for a bit of a peace of mind & a bit of protection for my investment.
This doesn't look bad value. Is this similar to the hartech 1?

i did a bit of research about warranties a few weeks ago and there is a thread somwhere........RSJ is to very similar to the hartech one and obviously more convenient for those of us who live in the south. remember though, from memory both policies cover labour only but do include an annual service and labour for replacement of "consumables".
I guess the question is ...... how much labour is needed on a major breakdown? assuming the average service cost is £375/yr (£250 for minor service, £500 for major service) then I reckon that you get circa 10hrs per year labour cover (assuming £70/hr for labour and £80/month for the warranty) ...is it worth it? maybe somebody else can comment?
how many labour hours to recondition/fix a gearbox?
how many labour hours to recondition/fix an engine?
how many labour hours to replace a clutch?
maybe I am looking at it overly simply .. anybody got any views as to value for money of these policies versus a traditional warranty (which some indies also do e.g. J Z Machtech, G C Motors (provided you pay for your servicing with them)
I have just taken up the RSJ scheme, they have a very good set of guys there and Joel is spot on.
It gives me peace of mind as well as covering my service, much better in my view than the opc warranty...
Do you know what this would cover you for in the event of say an "itermediate shaft failure"?
As I understand it, it would just cover labour for replacing/rebuilding the engine and not the replacement unit itself? :?:
yes, but only OPC tend to just replace the engine, rather than rebuild, due to the high OPC labour cost (150 an hour vs 60)
Hence you would just pay for the broken parts, seals, lining etc
I posted a comprehensive reply answering the question raised about how similar our Hartech scheme was and correcting the misleading estimates showing how inexpensive it was etc together with several costings - but it has been deleted (which has happened with previous posting responses).
Can I suggest that it would be polite to inform me if and when you do this and why so I don't waste my time trying to help inform others and correct any missinformation others are posting about us.

I enrolled on the Hartech scheme, these were my thoughts at the time.
