Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

SIM draws staying out is a problem with the spring, I ve known OPC 's to fit a new unit at a cost of £2500, they can be fixed for less than £50 by the Becker repair agent

I'm in Kent but I might give him a call tomorrow to see if he knows of any Becker repair agents near me

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello All,
When I went for a test drive in my 996 I noticed that the SIM slot was out.
I picked up the car last week and the slot was pushed in (by the valeter I assume).
The problem is that I can't get the slot to pop out.I've tried hard presses, soft presses, trying to get my finger nails behind it etc but it won't budge.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks
You're correct with that assumption
Just had another play, managed to pull the front off the slot and gently eased it open with a narrow blade. It was jammed because a piece of paper had been wedged in there !!!
I'm guessing that the spring system must have broken as the slot won't stay in......I'll leave it open until I can get it sorted :nooo:
Anybody else had this problem ?
Thanks
Interesting.........I might email my local Porsche dealer on Monday to see what types of SIM will/won't work.
To be honest I'll probably use it once just to try it then won't bother again 8)
I'm on Orange so thats good
uh:
Just found a similar thread on Pistonheads. Looks like it can be fixed.
Might check the price with Porsche Tonbridge then ask an Indie.......

Tesco PAYG Sim card works in it!
I have that and divert my phone to it whenever I get in the car.
O2 don't do multi sim cards....prefer to shaft you for 2 accounts :bandit: ...
Thats interesting. I tried an orange pay as you go sim first and nothing, then a vodaphone and ok? Apparantly it is a pretty buzzy line for whoever you call! but I think its pretty cool.
