Should it be possibly to adjust so that the gap on the ns and off is the same?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've just had the front pu painted on my Arctic Silver TT. I've used a very reputable paint shop who are approved for Bentley and Aston martin and have used them a number of occasions previously. Before the car went in the gap where the pu abuts the front wing on both sides seemed to get slightly wider towards the front of the wing (adjacent headlamp). I'm pretty sure I've seen this on other TT's so wasn't concerned. I've now had the car back and (probably because I've been having a proper look at the new paintwork) can see that the gap to the ns compared to the os is slightly larger - only by perhaps a mm but it's larger. The shop say that there isn't an adjustment here and the assembly just slides into place. Are they corrent? Should it be possibly to adjust so that the gap on the ns and off is the same? Cheers :thumb:

POST 2Original post

There right in what they say the only way to adjust is to take it off and put it back on again, sometimes exerting more pressure on one side to even it out, it just takes a couple of goes sometimes

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So it is adjustable in that it can take a few goes to get it right?

POST 4Original post

More of adjustable via brute force rather than design The Pu's are rather springy,

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

cheers, i may pop it back in.
