Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm a long time Porsche fan and 20+ year owner/driver of a 914-6. I've just started the education process for the next p-car addition and I'm leaning toward the 997 C4S for several reasons. Probably a 2007 > 2009 model. As a 914 owner I do appreciate "some" sun, stars and open air and this "glass top" version of a "targa" presents a new twist. A mix of a big sunroof and small lift back. I'd like to get some feedback from an owner on the functionality/value of this kind of top and any advice and critique they might offer on purchasing one of these cars. Also any advice on Gen 1 vs Gen 2 997 is welcome. Thanks!

hey there's a thread on rennlist right now about owning a targa in a hot climate, you might get some good info from reading it: A Targa in Florida??? - Rennlist Discussion Forums
