You can put whatever you want as long as it fits within the body. I'm sure those sizes are what was used on the 17in wheels. I've run 7.5, 8 and 8.5in fronts with 9, 9.5 and 10in. All were fine.

You will notice some differences in ride and comfort between diameter sizes. Tyre makes / pressures have a influence in feel but the car will run completely fine. Unless your chasing tenths on a racetrack pic the set up that you like the look of most.
