Put them back together, however, when I went to adjust the seat back, it reclines only.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Several weeks ago I took my seats apart to put new LSEAT skins on them. Put them back together, however, when I went to adjust the seat back, it reclines only. When I put the seats back together, I found a tiny spring that belonged in the recline switch. I put it back where I thought it belongs, but now I'm guessing it's not where it should be. Where did I go wrong? Hard to drive with the seat reclined to where it currently is. PLEASE HELP 99 base.

POST 2Original post

I suggest that you check whether the part of the seat recline switch you touch with your hand is positioned over the nubs on the electronics part of the switch. One of the holes on the black plastic part may not be aligned over the nub that actually operates the switch mechanism.

POST 3Original post

Can you check/compare it to the opposite side seat?
