Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As the title says really, mine is scuffed and the paint cracked in one place so I might replace. Local body shop will paint but just want to know where is the cheapest place to buy an OEM part Are they about £150 or is that wildly optimistic? Thanks Edited by Adam B on Thursday 10th July 20:31

POST 2Original post

OPC and they are around the price you are hoping. I replaced the one on my old 7TT. http://www.deroure.com/partinfo.asp?MAK=3&MDL=...

POST 5Original post

You can order online at JZM or just call them., They are dead easy to fit plus they provide the sticky tape and the plastic pins as well., Couldn't be easier

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Are they generally the same price from OPC or indie? I am in SW London so may ask Charles Ivey or West London OPC and would rather avoid paying a big dealer mark up.

Adam B said: Are they generally the same price from OPC or indie? I am in SW London so may ask Charles Ivey or West London OPC and would rather avoid paying a big dealer mark up. As I said JZM

POST 8Original post

Give your local OPC a call, as I say, they aren't expensive. OPC are generally the cheapest route to purchase.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Willdo As I said JZM is not particularly local

OPC price "satin black" - £125 + vat (seems ok) same but with primer (if it is painted which mine is) - £551 + vat (what the holy f k?) I am going to get my local body shop to paint it, they will probably charge about £100, so what on earth makes up the difference?

POST 14Original post

Hi, We can supply a Front Lower Lip Spoiler for your 997 Turbo at £125.74 plus £12.50 postage within the UK plus VAT. If you wish to order; please call Brian or Chris at Jasmine PorschaLink UK on 01282 697171. Best regards

OPC prices are usually the same as the Deroure link I posted in my initial reply - £125.74 plus vat. If you have PCGB membership you can get 10% off at OPC - or just ask for a discount

It is a different shape to the standard black plastic unit and works in conjunction with the large aero rear wing. If you don't have that wing you can just buy the cheaper black splitter and paint it. If you do have the rear wing, you're stuck with the expensive one as both are designed to work together. The splitter is a push fit in the PU and held in place with a Torx screw at either end.

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No aerokit fortunately. I had the standard front lip, side skirts and rear bottom lip painted as I much prefer the colour coded look. Downside is you have to accept the front lip will get scuffed occasionally and it's more of a pain to replace and repaint rather than just replace - but worth it for me

POST 18Original post

I have 3. 1 on the car. 1 I keep as best for shows, displays etc. and 1 usually at the painter's for repair. Takes about 8 minutes to replace once you know how.
