Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

For the horn, we put a sunroof switch into the blank slot on my non sunroof coupe and ran the horn to that. Admittedly not an instinctive place for a horn push but it worked.
Outcome qualification: Negation, uncertainty or missing explicit repair resolution overrides the raw extraction signal.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.
Hi all,
I recently completed a Momo wheel installation and perhaps this video guide i made will be helpful to anyone thinking of doing the same.

All the best

Have you advised your insurer?
Having removed a safety-critical part from the car what would happen in the event that a claim was made for personal injury following an accident?
You have in effect modified your vehicle, in this case increasing the risk to the driver.
Just a bored-lockdown thought.
Ignore the HSE representative Les. My opinion is if it was safety critical then they would not allow cars that do not have steering wheel airbags to be on the road. Live a little and if it is too risky get a HANS device
The video reminds me of the issues I had when I put a "garish" racing wheel on my 996 (yellow tab incl. ). The horn would not work due to some earthing issues and it was not until I gave up and put it all back together that it suddenly worked. I put it down to the fact that all the screws on the wheel were not in the wheel at the time.
The copper ring issue had been identified by someone before me and the answer was to bend the copper on the L piece to accentuate the amount it stuck out and create a better connection.
Do a search. I think I added some pictures to the FAQ section on the GT and RS page.

Gt3 steering wheel in mine, three years and the horns never worked?!? Other than when the keys removed obviously!! Watched with anticipation to see how you managed it and ...........well it'll make you far calmer a driver not having a horn!😂
Yeah!! Course I have it works just fine with the key out!!😂😂😂 it says you need an audible, single tone warning device it doesn't say the car has to be running!!
My old track motorbike had a push bike speedo (to comply with construction and use nothing to do with mot) no lights, indicators, no stand and a battery powered horn for kids bikes that also did cow noises!!! Daylight mot for bedding brakes in etc
I haven't got time to watch the vid as I'm dashing out to work soon but the horn is an easy fix.
Mine initially worked. See page 13 of below thread. It stopped working after adjusting the wheel a bit for a different reason. Only worked with the key out, as above.
See page 19 below for the fix -

Yours looks good by the way. Always a nice mod. Mine made no difference to the insurers either.

It's a great mod and I put on in mine. Beautiful wheel, looks and feels great. For the horn, we put a sunroof switch into the blank slot on my non sunroof coupe and ran the horn to that. Admittedly not an instinctive place for a horn push but it worked.
