Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hi all. just got myself set of refurbed 18' split rims which came with brand new tyres fitted. (proper new with labels still on) . cheaper tyres, never heard of the brand , but i decided to keep them as all i use this 911for is just local runs and commuting to work. i thought i just ware them out and get something decent on afters. but i have question here: fronts come with 225/40/R18' bur rears have 255 /35ZR18's which is different to tyres currently fitted and manufacturer spec ( 265 /35R18) so question is: can i use those tyres or would it be not a good idea? dont really want to get rid of perfectly new set of tyres unless i have to?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

And here Is example why I am changing...

POST 5Original post

Id just drive on them and see how they are,if there ok just wear them out.

POST 6Original post

Definitely just use them. Official size is 265 but a 10 inch wheel can safely take 255 to 275/285. As you say it would be daft to bin perfectly good tyres. Lovely wheels by the way. 8) Edited to add. I've just seen the make of tyres. Maybe see how they feel and go from there.

POST 7Original post

Try them out and if you don't like them change them! We bought a 3yr old Skoda Citygo for a runaround last year and the dealer said he had put some new tyres on it. When we collected it had some weird brand of tyres I had never heard of and the internet reviews were few and far between but consistently shite. I was convinced I would be getting 4 new tyres but they are fine and surprisingly grippy! Nice colour wheels by the way.

POST 8Original post

Cheap tyres are usually really grippy, they just don't last long. I'd use them.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks all. will go with those tyres then. anyone knows torque settings for wheel nuts ?

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

and would those torque setting be same fronts and rears?
