Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have considered spraying my wheel nuts too as they detract from the clean wheels, but i would not go as far as painting the hub.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Gang,
Several of you have PM'd me asking for pics of the new car. They're coming. I really, really have to get this process done first. These are shots off the C2 I sold but the "new" car has this problem but even worse. Hey, I'm a detailer... I can't help it...
Oh yea. I can't stand that splotchy rusted look. I show my car and that would be a 1 point deduction per wheel. Four points down, you're not even in the top 25 cars....
The last Concours I won by a quarter of one point. First place and 3rd place were less than 1 point apart. It's that competative.

Actually, the overspray onto the rotor is intentional. Really. Once it's all done I make a lap or two around the block and the brake pad takes that overspray right off. In addition, it leaves a nice, sharp line in the corner where the hat meets the rotor. I'd have taken a photo of that but it's a pain to bring it back into the garage, jack it up, take the wheel off....

How do you stop the wheel wrench from taking the paint off the studs when you put them back in?
If you take your wheels off a lot you'll eventually need to repaint the lugs. I've found that the paint holds up for 15 or 20 cycles before it starts to chip off.
I just use a high temp silver and it's been fine. If I was really worried about it I would take the rotors off and have the hats powder coated.
The hats on my current car look really, really bad. There's rust in the corner where the hat meets the rotor. With these open wheels, it really looks bad. No way it can stay that way...

We must be patient. Charles is holding us hostage. Sensitive negotiations are occurring. We must give the process time before going medieval on him.
