Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hey fellow Porsche Cayman owners, thought I would share some mods I did to my 2006 Cayman S . GT4 Side Scoops, these are offered on ebay from user skunkz1030 , his name is Jon, great guy and no issues dealing with him. They look awesome on my car. Also added Carbon Fiber Duck Tail, just the right size and no modifications needed, just bolts on the OEM shell. Quality is really nice. Finally, front flexible small splitter lip....will be installing smoke led front side markers and side skirts next week. Let me know if you have any questions about my mods, glad to share my thoughts on this. thanks David

POST 2Original post

Well done! looks really good. The duck tail.. you just unscrewed the old and bolted on the new? Screw slots all the same?

POST 3Original post

Yep, the duck tail screws on to the existing mounting plate, no mods needed. 5min install... thanks

POST 4Original post

Cool.. When you have time, can you post side view pics of the whole car with the duck tail down and in raised positions pls. Can you also share where you got this from and how much? Thanks

POST 5Original post

@wmclarenf1 will get that detail together for you today,,,, thanks

POST 6Original post

I like your front rubber/flexible splitter lip. I am leery of Joe Toths carbonfiber splitter on my car hitting speed bumps as it sits lower than most Caymans . We do not have a front lift kit like the GT3 , so there is no possibility of raising the front to get over the bumps. Does not look like you have hit any as well. What brand is the splitter and how hard is it to install?

POST 7Original post

@Apex1 thanks for your comments, I never really had any issues with curbs. I am super careful about curbs, turning and parking, so not an issue for me. Here is the best part, you may laugh the splitter is EZLip Pro, so easy to install and very flexible. And the best part is so less expensive than all the other ones out there. You can find them on ebay, just search for EZLip Thanks

POST 8Original post

@wmclarenf1 I have attached some additional pics, still need to get some with the spoiler up. I paid 375.00 plus shipping. thanks

POST 9Original post

Thanks. On a side note.. the gloss you have on your car.. amazing.. wax or ceramic or?

POST 11Original post

Thanks @atl944 ... its got me thinking about a change.

POST 12Original post

Great looking car! I re-read this thread a couple of times but I don't see where you got the ducktail from. Maybe I'm blind I see the info for the side scoops. I see ebay has one from HK for $299. I don't want to go that route. No pun intended.

POST 15Original post

What have you done with the front bumper and LEDs ? Looks clean and modern

POST 17Original post

When the ducktail goes up can you see it from the rear view mirror now?

POST 18Original post

How's the adhesive on the EZ lip? It seems like a possible weak point for otherwise a seemingly great product.
