Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I like them, they came already fitted by a previous owner on mine.

Please share pics and details on the gt3 splitter install, by coincidence was looking into this yesterday and thought it could be a nice option as like the non-aero clean look but front does have too much of an under bite chin to be aesthetically side IMHO.

While I like the simplicity of the non-aero 996.1, I fancied giving livening up the side profile so the other day installed side decals.

Then to address the free edge I found using a soldering iron with a plastic cutting tip was great for running along the edges to get them to curl around the body work and stay tucked away.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

While I like the simplicity of the non-aero 996.1, I fancied giving livening up the side profile so the other day installed side decals. Overall I am very pleased with the look. Driver side was done in the shade, in cool temperatures. This went on really easily and far simpler than I had feared. Unfortunately nearside done later in the day when it became pretty hot. That was a mistake. Ended up with all sorts of issues- mainly air bubbles, but also an area where the black sticker remained on the backing while the rest stuck to the bodywork. That took a lot of time and patience to sort. Anyway, I like the overall look, and for £80 I think it is a really worthwhile mod.
Terrible photo quality I agree. That's Iphones for you...The decals are from designstuffonline. I am impressed with the quality. Car is on stands as I am in the process of fitting a genuine GT3 lower lip to the front bumper. I will try and take better photos of that install!!! Nearly there with the fitting. It's not a direct fit on the non-aero bumper but only some very slight modification required to make it fit. I will also be changing out the fuel filter.
I pondered this with my previous 997.2 turbo. But concluded it was a no no based on my indecisiveness.
I've now got a 991 turbo S and it came with decals down the side. And I really like the look.
I like them too! Good work.
In fact I like cars with stickers so much I put some on my Honda.
Couple of tips for anyone doing similar. If you have to cut the stickers for door shuts etc it's best done with the stickers on the car (careful of paint). Then to address the free edge I found using a soldering iron with a plastic cutting tip was great for running along the edges to get them to curl around the body work and stay tucked away.
Good thing is there easy to remove if you get bored of them. I'm always trying out little things like this on my cars.
Quite fancy trying the Carrera side decal on mine, I used to hate it but done right I think it would look okay.

Well done on the stickers!
Hello 2much. I am now really undecided about the splitter. It does fit, but on reflection I think it doesn't look quite right. It looks a bit too aftermarket, in a trying a bit too hard kind of way. I am sorry but I didn't take photos before I took it off again today. I might sleep on it overnight and see how I feel about it tomorrow. Either way I will put it back on tomorrow so I can share photos with this forum. I would definitely appreciate your collective views.
Fitted the fuel filter today. Two observations worth sharing. First, the old one was date stamped 2014. That doesn't mean it has 6 years worth of crud in it, but on the other hand I am glad I changed it for peace of mind. I will look into the history file to see if there is anything more recent about a fuel filter replacement having been fitted. Secondly, none of the online guides tell you how fiddly it is to get the old one off and the new one on. Th filter has to be squeezed through a gap between 2 metal pipes, and brute force is required to separate the pipes sufficiently to get the filter in and out. Also, the filter is secured by a large hose clip which goes around the filter and slots into a bracket under the car. It was a pain getting the hose clip to slot into the bracket. I suppose now I know what to expect next time should be a lot easier😀
Well done again and helped me decide NOT to do mine tomorrow now, will wait until I can get it up on the lift as may be easier than on stands, laying underneath!!
Look forward to the pics (if you can).
