Had an interersting duel with a R26 this weekend in my tiptronic 30 - 80, I gain about 10 feet up to around 60 mph, then as I go into 3rd, have to back off to avoid getting too close to his behind. So in summary I cant leave them for dust as with most cars but them again if you behind one then he will think you are much faster as you appear to stick to his bumper as he guns it.

Stripped out Megane, very, very capable car. TBH, he would probably lose you over the back roads, seen a few on track embarrassing much more powerful cars... Would like to replace my station car with one for the back roads 

I have a 996 tip and work for Renault and have had R26 demos..... they are v fast and superb handing cars! The R26.R is the stripped out version. Im suprised the 996 kept up actually! good news
