Will Boxster 987.2 seat belts fit Cayman 987.1 ? May be able to pick up a silver set for $200 from Craigslist. Couldn't find information anywhere, the fitment guides say that belts won't fit but the answer on various threads isn't clear. Thanks in advance!

The Boxster seatbelts have an extra guide piece which bolts to the Boxster ’s roll bar. The Cayman seatbelts don’t use this guide piece. It may be possible to remove the extra guide piece from the Boxster seatbelts so you can install them in your Cayman , but it likely will require cutting the guide piece in half and being careful not to damage the seltbelt. Take a look at the parts diagrams for each car on www.autoatlanta.com and you will see what I am talking about. You can also look at photos on eBay for Porsche 987 Seatbelts and you will see the difference.
