Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm looking for wheels for my 996 and was wondering if 18 x 9.5 et47 or 18 x 10 et40 would fit in the back of my car. Also, is running 11" rear wheels do-able?

POST 2Original post

Apparently, according to a TSB on Renntech, you need 50mm offset for 18' fronts and 63-65mm offset for rears. The 40 offset are for TT's and the C4's (i.e. widebody Porsche's). If the Arena Red car I saw in one of your previous post's is yours I have the exact same car , except its a manual. I've been looking highand low and can't seem to find anything with the correct offset.Hope I've been of some help.

POST 3Original post

Well, they will "fit" but they will not "fit" well. Both of those wheels will stick out past the outer edge of your fender. IMO, on a 10" wide wheel, the SMALLEST offset sould be 58mm, which will NOT stick out past the fender.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys. munro - Yes, the Arena Red car is mine.
