I wanted to know if, now that you have had them on your cars for a while, has the damping of the stock shocks been affected at all or does it feel as solid as it did with the stock springs.
I am wondering how the stock shocks stand up to the lower and stiffer H&R springs.
Thanks for the info...i just ordered my set of springs...getting ready for spring.
i used H&R springs in my car.
well, i'm not professional or experts in car, so i dont see any difference in feeling regarding the shocks.
all i can feel is that the ride become harsh (Esp in Sport Mode) but this might also caused by the low profile tires that i'm using (i have 20" on my car)
I'm still on the factory 18"'s and do not have PASM...
The ride on our car is a little more harsh but we ar running 19" wheels with low profile tires that can also affect the ride quality. all in all, I feel like they have stayed pretty much the same as stock.
I have the stock wheels with H&R. I cannot tell the difference between stock springs and the H&R during daily driving.
One of the guys at the dealership has the same setup. He liked the springs for the track. Said that it improved handling and was more controllable on the track.
I've got the H&R's on a non PASM CS with about 17,000 kms. Half of that is with stock 19" PS2's, and the half is on 18" Advan Neovas for track use. The package is a pretty good sport set-up with the usual trade-offs, and the H&R's and stock dampers have been real consistent. No deterioration in feel, so the dampers seem to be doing their job. I was also a bit concerned about the long term affects of the non stock set-up, but so far so good. No complaints on any fronts. We'll see how year 2 goes ...
Thanks for the input guys. I should have the springs later this month and then just have to get them installed and the car aligned...and the snow to melt! It's like -30 here today with the wind and blowing snow...yuck.
