Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

only got it last week and put a CD in the car earlier & now I can hear it albeit very quite but the stereo front isnt working & cannot turn it up or down. Pulled over & turn the car off & it carried on playing! Pulled the magazine out but anybody has any ideas?

POST 2Original post

My first guess is you may have the CDR22 + sound pack? (AMP under the bonnet) if yes it sounds like the harness plug going into the AMP has poor connection. You need to answer the following for someone to have a go at sussing this one out. What year is your car? (Facelift model uses a wiring system known as MOST) What is the exact spec of your sound system? Example, door speakers? CD changer? AMP? Model - CDR22 / 23 etc :thumb:

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Its a CR 22 with a multi changer in the front along with the amp. Speakers are the standard ones in the door & dash, its a 996 '99 T plate.

POST 4Original post

The particular multichanger has a mind of its own, they sometimes go back to the begining of cd1 or sometimes start from where it was last playing. I am pretty confident it will be a connector block issue. Whether it be one of the 3 on the back of the head unit or the one on the amp. Start by gentley manipulating the connector on the amp, hopefully the volume will suddenly shoot up. Lloyd.
