Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, A few months ago, whilst installing an iPod connection I removed the handset from my PCM1 equipped car as it looked a bit eighties and Mrs W was always complaining about it being in the exact same location she wanted to put her handbag. Anyway, removal was simple however finding a replacement trim panel has been a total pain..... Porsche quoted me £240 for the trim panel (Part no: 996.552.091.05 , metropole blue) and none of the used parts people I've tried have one. Any suggestions for alternative sources, or will I just have to grit my teeth and stump up £240 for a bit of moulded plastic covered in 'leatherette' (?) ?

POST 2Original post

I took mine out and replaced it with the GT3 console delete option but mine isn't PCM so my A/C module is up top and only cubby holes in the bottom.

In answer to your question... Because they can! :hand:
