Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

HI,
Any fluid labelled CHF11S will meet Porsche requirements, about £15 / litre from halfords, expect to pay £6-7 litre from your local motor factors, euro car parts, CES etc.
p.s dont overfill the res, and clean up any spillages asap to belts etc
cheers

Hi Max,
I use the 'Comma' brand, never had any issues and it's made at the same place as the Halfords stuff.
Not sure why you need to top up, or if you have a leak, but remember to bleed the system - top up slowly with the engine ticking over, move the wheel, observe the bubbles / froth in the tank as the air comes out, give it chance to settle and re top up /repeat as required, this process can take a bit of time so be patient!
Check for leaks.. the usual places seem to be under the car, on the connection under the passenger seat under the covers, the rack itself and also the pressure / return pipes bottom of the rack, take the front drivers side wheel off to see clearly.
good luck :thumb:

Hi brumbrum
Dont know were the fluid has went, checked all under
the car and it is as dry as a bone. I bought the car in June
and never checked the pas fluid at the time. An engine check
light came on couple of days ago and when looking over the engine
I found the fluid to be very low, not sure if that is the cause of the eml or not. Will put fluid in tomorrow and follow your advice.
Cheers
Max
Hi Max,
Low CHF level should'nt throw a CEL so may be another issue.
I would deal with the top up first, runa few miles, keep an eye on the level, any loss will need further investiation, I've done quite a lot of work on the CHS and leaks can be a pain to find.
Keep a spare bottle of fluid under the bonnet just in case, easier and cheaper to limp home than risk damaging a pump / rack etc.
With regards the CEL run it into your local indy / OPC for a plugin in unless you live near anyone on here with a porsche tester, dependent on what comes back and how good / keen you are with spanners we can advise from there. I would'nt worry just yet!
Cheers
