Managed to scratch the drivers side rear 1/4 glass. The drivers door glass dropped and I didn't realise it was leaning against the rear glass. Raised the glass and skerrratch. Its not to deep, a couple of inches long running from top to bottom on top of the B pillar. Just out of interest got a quote from AutoGlass, the recommended a replacement having read my e-mail... A bargain replacement glass at only £324.00 I feel it could be filled and polished again and be perfectly acceptable. Anyone used any company or products to remove scratches. I know some companies set up in Superstore car parks. Its not as if I'll be looking though it as I only see it when I'm getting in the car. Eventually it won't look half as bad as I think it does at the moment. Any thought appreciated. Thanks

My dad gave me a few polishing sticks that they use for getting scratches out of Aircraft Canopies and I have to say they were amazing, but alas I have no idea where they are. I'll ask him if he has any. Not sure if this will work on toughened glass but there used to be a product called "Jewelers Rouge". The stuff I've used before was a "Red block" of a kind of rubbing compound. It used to look like a gold bullion. Might be worth getting hold of that in the first instance. It certainly worked for minor scratches.
