Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

Call H&R and ask, I doubt there is a lot of difference between the two, but best to check with the manufacturer to see what differences there are.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I just bought a set of springs from a member of this forum. Was looking to receive H&R sport springs for my CS (part # 54020) Instead I received H&R sport springs for the Boxster S (part# 29168 HA) Will this work? Is it wise to use this application on my CS? Or are they the same spring just different part #? Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Call H&R and ask, I doubt there is a lot of difference between the two, but best to check with the manufacturer to see what differences there are.

POST 3Original post

I agree with K-Man S, check and see because the stock suspensions of the two cars are different, including the springs. brad

POST 4Original post

Ok, The H&R tech told me that the springs are identical...in all aspects and that they work perfectly on my CS. According to their notes. On a relevant topic, will by H&R springs (1.4 - 1.2 drop in front and rear respectively) give me a raked look? my tires on my 20s are going to be 245/30/20 and 285/30/20...and that equates to the same diameter as my stock 19s with stock tires. Will my butt be higher? Noticeable? Thanks!

POST 5Original post

Good that the springs are identical. Do the springs they sell for the Cayman S have a different part number, I wonder? If so, I would wonder why... On the lowering: .2" is only 5mm, not too much difference, really. Will it be noticeable? I'm not sure, but I'd guess 5mm will be hard to spot. Good to see you got the right sized tires. brad

POST 6Original post

The factory springs between the Boxster and Cayman are NOT identical so I'm surprised H&R would make a one-size-fits-all solution there. Honestly I doubt the H&R springs are that much different from stock springs other than ride height to worry much about it, it isn't like you are going to aggressively track your car and are looking for suspension improvements.
