Suggestion

Mine is a yr 2000 C2 with silver (?chrome) steering wheel crest and clear lights, but the wheels are Turbo look 18 inchers (with coloured Porsche crest on centres), may have been fitted by previous owner- I am not sure what the GT3 wheels were (I thought they were "Sport design" which looked like the items I had on my Boxster (they very quickly corroded hence possible need to change rims on my 996)?).

Suggestion · Original poster

Parts cost about £1000 all together using Ebay and Porsche then my paint job was £1500 but that was the whole car so i'd say about £800 for just the front.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here she is, the Seventh Bridge herself (never ending project) All I have left to do is fit the later rear bumper (away being painted) and then refurb the alloys (some light marks here and there) otherwise she is in top class.

POST 2Original post

What a beauty! I have now added red mats to the 'list'! (and a clean engine bay!)

POST 3Original post

Very nice LLoyd! I see your neigbours moving house. Your well kept lawn is a credit to you and I sense pre re sale pitch in this post? I think your thinking it's time to think the bridge is fully painted now and before the paint inspector inspects the bridge for paint it's bumper on and bump her off time - Yes??? You could go "club Sport 996" you know, then the work will never be over

POST 4Original post

Looking very nice - but red mats? :dont know:

POST 5Original post

Seventh Bridge eh? You show off, I've only just finished the Forth Bridge!

POST 7Original post

Your car looks great! Did you have the facelift nose fiited yourself? If so who did it and how much was it?

POST 8Original post

I notice that the Porsche crest in your steering wheel looks silver instead of coloured - is this because it is an anniversary (yr 2000) model? If so, what colour would the indicators have been when new, clear or orange?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Apart from the painting I did it all myself. Parts cost about £1000 all together using Ebay and Porsche then my paint job was £1500 but that was the whole car so i'd say about £800 for just the front. So a £2000 budget should do it.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It was known as the millenium edition. Chrome badge in the s/wheel, GT3 alloys (from the factory) & I believe it had clears all round.

POST 11Original post

All "Millenium" (2000) cars had the monchrome crests ("Millenium Steering Wheel"). Do not confuse with the actual "Millenium Edition" car. Clear indicators were introduced in 1999 (to coincide with C4 release).

POST 12Original post

Ah! - Millenium edition, not Anniversary (getting confused with the real nightmare that was the P38 Range Rover!). What else differentiates the Millenium car and does this mean (if mine is such a car) that it is worth tens of thousands of pounds??

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Richard H is the man for the full spec. I would say it has no bearing on the price but I will use it as a tool when I sell mine... 'Yes sir, of course this is the very collectable Millenium edition and worth over £10k more than any other model of this year!!'

POST 14Original post

In that case send any prospective buyers to me for a testimonial and I will reinforce the fact that the millenium model is in deed very special edition and more collectable than a GT3. AND it has rear seats. Is Richard H out there??

POST 15Original post

hi lloyd, just wondering if the exhaust tips need to changed for the 996.2 rear bumper? brumbrum
