The weekend my radiator blew a big hole which resulted in me having to use my sisters little 106 1.4D with 135k miles, a car that must be pushing about 40bhp to the wheels.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Reason for my post is realisation. Sometimes I think we forget just how powerful our cars really are. The weekend my radiator blew a big hole which resulted in me having to use my sisters little 106 1.4D with 135k miles, a car that must be pushing about 40bhp to the wheels. By my house there is a bypass up a hill, normally I fly up there overtaking everything in sight but last night I was doing 35 - 40mph foot to the floor in this 106, my god how do people live with such slow cars. I now appreciate my 996 even more

POST 2Original post

I had the same experience when I was driving my daughters' Pug 306 diesel. That has the 2 litre lump but I still thought something was broken when I tried to use the loud pedal!! Cheers, Nigel

Don't ever drive a 997 Turbo. Normal life will be live living on "pause"

POST 4Original post

Well.... I drive my wifes Seat Ibiza 1.2 with 63bhp regularly. Overall is a great little city car with excellent specs but in terms of power..... what power......especially when loaded. On Sunday we visited my wifes aunt in South East London (from NW) and on the way back because central London was full of roadworks I came back from M25 and that was the 1st time after a year that I have been in a motorway with it... and what a shock..... Theo
