Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Some days are just worse than others... Today, I decided to take the Boxster to work so that I can improve my mood. But no sir, she wasnt in the mood today so she decided to ruin mine... Trying to open the top... Nothing! No sound, no movement, no dash warning, nothing! I had my push rods break before and I had the boot opening but the top didnt move. But this time absolutely nothing happens... I checked the fuse (E3) and found it intact, so I have no idea what would be the problem Unless they're lemurs too :hilarious:! Any ideas??!

POST 4Original post

With the engine running, pull up on the handbrake lever and see if the handbrake warning lamp is illuminated on the dash. If not, you may be in need of a handbrake switch.

POST 5Original post

In addition to hearing it click, if the radio is on, there would always be a short gap in the sound when the latch is engaged/disengaged. No idea why the redio cares if the top is up or down, but there seems to be an interlock. So to test your swicth, turn the radio on, and push up and release the switch and see if your sound cuts on/off. If so, the switch is working, at least the part that feeds the radio.
