Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Guys, does anyone know if a Rear Turbo ACTIVE spoiler fit my 1999 Porsche 996 C2 ?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can I modify it or is it a massive job? Has it been done before? Many thanks

POST 4Original post

Best thing to do is get the sizes of both boot lids.. I would think they will be the same, but it depends on the angle also ! Good question tho !

POST 6Original post

Apologies for resurrecting an old post, but I have a 2000 C2 and I'm purchasing the turbo rear spoiler and boot lid advertised on this site this Friday. I was hoping it would be a straight replacement, but reading above it seems not. Are the boot lids not the same size, and if so what other problems might I have? I was hoping it would be a matter of unbolt old, and bolt new on, with hydraulics (hopefully) being a straight swap. Am I being naive or what?

POST 7Original post

Well, didn't get any reponse so went ahead and brought the boot lid tonight. Got it home, removed the old lid and fitted the turbo one. First problem, the right hand hydrolic ram (or what ever it's called) to lift the spolier was being fouled by the airbox. I knew this was going to happen as Gary (bloke who sold it to me) told me it would. removed the airbox and fitted lid. Completely different size. kind of OK at the top, but where it meets the bumper at the bottom, the lid was too long. This also meant that it was narrower at the bottom (if you see what I mean). Making it fit would be a pig of a job, so took it off and put old back on. It would seem that the rear deck of a widebody is completely different from the rear deck of a normal 911 (unless the facelift rear deck is different from pr-facelift). Ho-hum. I gave it a try - nothing ventured Rodney.......
