Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Went into my garage today and saw this puddle of greenish fluid. It appears to have come from the area near the driver side front wheel. Car is a 987.1. Can someone tell me what they think what the fluid is and where it may be coming from? I don't think it's engine coolant. That fluid is pink, not green, and the coolant level is between min. and max. where it normally is. Thanks in advance. jD

POST 3Original post

You nailed it! Thank you very much. The reservoir must have a crack in it or a hose is loose. jD

POST 4Original post

Mine started leaking. I found that the rubber grommet that holds the pump motor was hard. I tried cleaning and lubricating it. Still leaked. Replaced. Fixed. I'm pretty sure this is the one. https://www.amazon.com/Windshield-G...0/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=audi+vw+98-05+washer+pump&qid=1564830100&s=gateway&sr=8-1 You will find that the motor and grommet are from a VW golf. As a Porsche part $$$$. As a VW part, about $10.

POST 5Original post

JD, you have to like when you think you have a big problem and it turns out to be a small one. That is a win in my book.
