Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, As I work through my recent purchase and minor refurbishment and improvement, finding a few bits that need some help with. Latest here looks like something has snapped off (both sides are same) as seems small bit of plastic and a couple of screws now doing nothing. I am assuming some kind of flap or spat that diverts air around the front tyres but can't find anything on line. Does anyone know if anything missing and if yes, what it is, what it is called please? Thanks Steve

POST 2Original post

Hi there, yes, just a little rubber lip, No 4 on the diagram below Craig

POST 3Original post

It really pisses me off that people (a) destroy these and then (b) don't replace them. It's one of the telltale signs of a cared for car IMHO (when they're all present and correct!). I don't think I've bought a car where there hasn't been some degree of damaged / missing under trays and strakes. Anyway normally straightforward to sort out with replacement and/or plastic welding. Design 911 sell the part you need, I bought them for mine. They're not expensive. Good on you for sorting them out! POST 4Original post

Had all the arch liners out on mine for a good clean and I too have damage to the rubber lip on one side so will order a replacement. In terms of replacement fixings like self tapping screws and the speednut things, are the porsche items the best bet or are there better options out there?

POST 5Original post

I've just replaced these on my car as they were damaged, they cost £28.46 for the pair from the local Porsche Centre. Super easy to fit without having to jack the car up.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Craig, appreciate the detailed information. They will be on order asap. Steve

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know what you mean on this and I do fail to see why people don't look after these small details but guess we aren't all the same. More I get into this car, really pleased with purchase because its solid and honest car but obviously has not had a high level of TLC over last couple years/owners - feels like I am rescuing it a bit 😁 Steve
