Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I couldn't find any info on that part number, I think the bat measures 19mm but that was just a rough size using an adjustable spanner.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I've traced a knocking noise on my car to the rear arb. I'm not overly sure on the size of bushes I require. The part number from the ARB is 996 333 701 13 I couldn't find any info on that part number, I think the bat measures 19mm but that was just a rough size using an adjustable spanner.

POST 2Original post

The trouble you have is that's an old part number that seems to have been superseded .. only an Indy parts dept or an OPC can say what the current number is .. Unsure with the various pet systems kicking around the net if they can help though . Garages being shut atm makes this problematic .. very strange times that's for sure . You would need a vernier gauge to accurately measure the roll bar as if you look here they are very close in size .. https://www.deroure.com/diagrams.asp?MAK=3&MDL=25&TBL=2597&SMA=0&SMO=0&ST=&SC=0 A knock from this is pretty rare though .. it would be a very loud noise and similar to a drop link but very pronounced on a bumpy road .. I would expect there is some serious play in it to make a noise .. perhaps fill it with rubber grease as a temp solution and to prove its this item that's at fault . Just my thoughts .

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cheers DeMort, I wrapped insulating tape around roll bar to take up the slack and the knocking disappeared so I'm hoping that's the problem and not just coincidence it stopped. After doing a bit of digging it turns out the bush size is 19.8mm, I managed to get a number off the old rubber bush, again the number has been superseded but I did manage to get the new number. Im struggling to find 19.8mm but can 19mm or 20mm poly bushes no problem. Would 19mm be the bush to go for ?

Perfect mate thanks again for that. If I go poly should I go 19 or 20mm as they don't list anything in between.

POST 9Original post
