Hey...I have been wanting to ask this...does anyone else have this option?
I have an UMBRELLA that sits in the passenger side bottom door sill.
Is this a popular option? I think its pretty cool...it looks totally stealth and I didnt even know it was there until I was looking around the car and found it. I decoded my options but dont remember it saying "factory umbrella" included.
You guys have it too?
That's a souvenir from the last owner!!!
The passenger side door sill slot was "designed" for the Porsche umbrella, and I think it was not an option, have to get it from the Porsche shop...
I have it an it's fantastic. Of course, I've never used it since when it rains, it generally does so before I get to the car and hence, I have an umbrella with me. But, it's great to know it's there in a pinch and it does look very stealth.
Is it true that the slot was designed for the umbrella, or instead, was the umbrella designed for the slot? I guess it begs the question:
What came first, the slot or the umbrella?

True but...when I need it...it will be there..or better yet I will be out with a young lady when we are suddenly caught in a down pour...she is worried her clothes will get ruined...ahhh...but I tell her not to worry....I have an umbrella. She says where? There is no room in this wonderful piece of German engineering for an unsightly umbrella. I say..dont worry sweety...we arrive to the location and I run out first...open her door. The rain pellets make noises on the windshield and my clothes. She is afraid to come out when I bend down and lift up the chrome ring and pull out the...she goes what is that? I say wait...pull out the umbrella and open it in front of her and gently help her out of my cab...hardtop on of course...she is impressed and dry...and the night ends in passionate hot butt nekkid monkey love....

I just bought one and put in beside the drivers seat next to the seat adjuster. I put gel in my hair and wear nice clothes, when it rains and runs down my head; my eye's get glued shut from the gel.(Did I really just say this out loud?)
