Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, I replaced the AC Condensers this week, and cleaned the rads whilst I was there and washed the area too. Finished yesterday lunch time, it all went together surprisingly easy. This morning I noticed a constant water drop (every 10 seconds) from just in front of the front passenger wheel, dripping from the edge of the bumper/wheel arch liner. The leak started this morning - when it got warmer, it wasn't there last night. Pic attached - where the green cup is, managed to get a shot of the water drop too! Any ideas? I will remove the arch liner to inspect. It's definitely water.

POST 2Original post

Defo water, as opposed to coolant (likely pink and a bit sticky feeling) or aircon fluid? If its water and the car has just been used it may be ice melting from the condensers.

POST 3Original post

Wet the end of your finger with it and taste it. My guess is it could just be water running out your undertray after driving through a puddle. Taste test will give you abetter idea.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Its definitely water, Ive just jacked the side up and its stopped dripping. Being water, could it be anything else? Its not been driven in 2 weeks and its not rained for a while

POST 5Original post

Screenwash water bottle or pipework. Do you have headlight washers?

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I do yes! It could be that. Pic attached of where it seems the leak is coming from This much water in 45 mins (second pic)

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just ran the headlight washers, they seemed to spray with equal force. Does the windscreen washer bottle serve the lights too?

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Tastes like water completely clear too

POST 11Original post

My guess is excess waster from washing or puddle. You havent got a water bottle in your frunk?

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you for your help Alex, I think (hope) you are right, I'll keep an eye on it Cheers
