Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Hi everyone, I enjoy driving my car a lot and now it is already 2,000 miles after a month. It is a time to change the engine oil. I did this with my mechanic and it took only 10-15 mins to do it (of course without draining oil which is like 20 min extra). 1) Un-screw the draining oil's plug 2) Draining... Wait... wait... wait... 3) Re-Screw in the draining oil's plug and do not forget to put new aluminum ring washer. 4) Open the rear engine cover, remove covers/fans. 5) Open an oil filter's cover, then remove an oil filter 6) Re-insert new oil filter 7) Change the rubber ring on the oil filter's cover, re-tight the cover. 8) Fill up with 9 quarts of mobil one 0W-40 9) Start up the car and re-check everything, my oil's gauge show @ level 4/5

POST 2Original post

I never realized how difficult it was to work on a 911! There seems to be significantly more access to the engine in a Cayman.

POST 4Original post

There is much easier access to the engine in any 911 compared to a Cayman, except 991.
