Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, I have changed my rear PU from 996.1to a 996.2 as I like the curves better on the .2 Now I fined that my number plate lights from the 996.1 PU don't fit the .2? I thought hey were all the same! Does anyone know for sure? if so dose anyone have a spare set to sell please? Many thanks John

POST 2Original post

It looks like they are different according to Design 911 shop. 996.2 are same as 997 = 996.1 are different. There are some good parts diagrams on d911 website and always handy to search for things like this. Hope this helps.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks 2much, I'll order some 👍

POST 4Original post

Do a search on here, I'm pretty sure they're a VW part and that might make a cheaper option.

POST 5Original post

The ones on my Gen 2 are VW, i'll see if I can find a picture of the part number, if not a google search should find it.
