Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anybody bought the Wayne Dempsey 101 Projects for your 996 book? Is it helpful in doing maintenance and repair, along with the upgrades mentioned?

POST 2Original post

Yes it's very good with lots of clear photos....but and this is just a general thing now there's so many YouTube videos you can probably get most of the information on the jobs you are likely to do from there.

POST 3Original post

I have it and its useful. Only thing it doesn't have is torque wrench settings. Ian

POST 4Original post

I have it. I think it is pretty good. Makes a nice read if you ever get bored anyway. MC

POST 5Original post

I have the book too. It's ok. Missing some details in various places and quite dated. Most of the info in it seems to be available on the Pelican Parts website. If you really hate reading online, it's an alternative, but I'd rather put my money toward the Bentley manual personally.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
