Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I much prefer snap in if you can change your order.
Leading evidence: 'Replace order' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace order' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

BK makes a harnes mounting kit too, check it out, it uses the stock mounts, don't go drilling in your car!!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So Xmas came early for me and I am going to soon be the new owner of a sparco pro2000 seat and schroth profi3 6 pt harness. I already have the BK harness truss, and I am going to be installing the seat and harnesses in my 1999 c2.
Where do I mount the inside lap belt? I am going to be mounting the outside one to the stock seat belt location. Do I need to drill any holes? or is there somewhere to mount the inner one. I have experience installing 4 pt schroths in my old car, but I am trying to make as few holes in my P car as possible. I will be permanently leaving in the lap belts and maybe the sub belts, and only removing the shoulder belts and truss while not at the track.
Also any advice on the sub belts would be appreciated. I have heard many opinions while searching the forum as to the correct way.
I'm looking at similar mods for my Boxster. I have a post on
http://boxcar-racing.com/forum/
titled something like safety upgrades. I receievd some good info from others on that list. I'm tracking with POC (I think you're a POC traveller as well) and I believe the rules don't allow mounting harnesses to the seat rails. Thus, I believe you'll have to drill holes in the car for the tunnel mount.
So that was quick, jsut got a call back from DPS Motorsports, only took them 2 hours to get my seats in stock, and had the best price. I'm going to go pick them up tonight after work. I saw the BK mounting kit. Besides being very expensive, I still need a place to mount my stock belt and harnesses to. Can I just mount the stock belt to the bracket?
And yes, I am POC. Which car are you? You going to the STS in Jan?
well i made a set similar to the BK ones since the price is crazy!, however i am a metal fabricator and have access to the tools... i managed to mount both the harness and stock belt to using the stock bolt, i first mounted the bracket, and then the stock belt clip, and my harness clips to the bracket... same idea on the door side... but the BK price is nuts for what you get!
I agree with the price on th BK mounts, which is why I am seeking other ideas. So you just drilled a hole on the tunnel side for mounting your custom bracket?
no i used the stock belt mounting holes, had both the stock belts and the bracket mounted to the same hole, the bracket simply gave me enough room that they didn't interfere with each other...
To me this is one of the few situations where doing it right is cheaper and easier than doing it wrong. Why not just put the proper eyebolts through the floor for the lap belts? They are easy to install, cheap and out of the way. And, you are less likely to die when your sliders break in an accident.
Jim
My harnesses I ordered are bolt in and not snap in. Can I use something to snap them in with? (kind of a dumb question, but when safety is an issue, I want to be sure)
I much prefer snap in if you can change your order. They install easily and can be removed when not in use. It's also easier to get the pivoting right.
Having said that, are you working with an experienced race shop? Having crashed a racecar I can tell you you really don't want to gerry rig safety equipment yourself. You need to have mounting points right, angles right, lengths right. If that's not an option, do some serious research and do it right yourself. This is really not a area where you want to screw up.
Good luck,
Jim
