Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Hopefully they are sealed and at least they work, given the chance to buy another set i would buy the same as my first pair from thameside radiators from ebay.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'll be tackling this job in the next week or two.
Does anyone have a preferred brand?
I hear some brands dont allow the factory plastic housing to fit on, others you have to use different bolts, some have poor welds.
What have you used and have you been happy?
There is an OEM Hella/Behr option that come in at around £120 each. The same brand do a cheaper option at half the price, but the welds look terrible. There are dozens of options.
TIA
I bought a pair of Diedrichs branded condensers from Autodoc a year ago and fitted them along with a new dryer and seals from Porsche. No problems since. These didn't come with new o-rings and those some expensive bits of rubber from the dealer!
Just done mine this weekend, i bought cheap ones and they aren't great! I bought some for the boxster last year they weren't expensive and they fitted great. budget £50 a side and hopefully you get the better ones??

Good luck
I bought some Behr Hella ones from Car Parts 4 Less and these came with new O rings,
The way i saw it, Hella were the GOLD Standard and quite expensive,
Behr Hella seemed to be the next tier down,
and then there were what i deemed the bronze standard, I fitted them myself along with a new desicator drier, The drier didnt come with O Rings ! I dint go too cheap as i was saving on fitting but didnt want to do the GOLD standard either, Bonus was the O rings, Double Bonus was the trip to the OPC,
"OH YES Sir........ We carry these in stock"
OUCHHHH !!!!! was my initial thought, he handed me the packet and when asked "HOW MUCH" he said...... Don't worry about it, they're not hard up for a couple of quid !
I bought a can of PAG Oil also from CP4L for about a fiver, keep an eye out for Discount Time, Most of the Time its 9%, PAYDAY seems to attract 17% but Xmas, easter etc seems to attract 20%,
The 2 Behr Hella Condensers I ordered from CP4L have just arrived. They aren't the prettiest but if they work, they work. They have arrived with O rings. Will be a week or so until I get chance to install them so can't comment yet on if they actually fit OK or not.
Re: Receiver Drier
On mine it's in the "frunk" - under the right hand scuttle when standing at the front of the car, just to the right of the battery.
Should be self explanatory to change - it's an easy job.
I used new o-rings from Porsche.
a tip for you, get whoever to vacuum the system for as long as possible this will boil off the moisture in the system and will help keep it problem free. a rule of thumb is that you should vacuum for about an hour per kilo.
Then change the drier afterwards as they only hold around 5g of water and just swapping this may reach its max very quickly.
i would then vacuum the system again to boil any moisture and help the refrigerant flow into the system.
Mine is leaking at the rear connection around the engine bay, worth changing the o rings here also!!
cheers Nick
