Seems to be holding up well over 4 Winters although I used the supplied rubbish fittings to fit the tail pipes and I lost both of them when they rusted through recently!

Suggestion
I'd recommend TG Sports if you're not fitting them with 200 cell CAT's as that makes them too loud I believe and get a proper stainless fitting kit.

Sensible enough at idle and sounds great when I'm on it, it can get a bit boomy in 6th gear under 3000rpm (70mph) on motorways on small throttle openings, fine under/above that speed so if I have to sit at 65-70mph for ages I just change into 5th and the exhaust note changes and it's gone.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

.. Cos I've just had a set fitted as part of an extensive engine rebuild and they're .. loud! I've yet to drive the car, it's in the last stages of prep, but I'm wondering if anyone has them and what are they like to live with?
I ran them for about 8000 miles, loved them, yes they are pretty loud and my cars not a daily driver but they never gave me any issues, whether it was a 100+ mile drive down to the coast or once or twice a week during the summer for the 20 odd mile commute to work, I've only removed them as I'm fitting stainless steel manifolds and 200 cell x--pipe cats and hope to one day make it on track,
Exhaust sound is a very personal thing though, a great sounding exhaust for one man could be too loud for another :?:
I've had them for 4 years+ & over 25,000m on my daily driver.
The rest of my exhaust is standard and I love them, they don't sound that loud to me although my family seem to know when I've arrived home
The neighbours never complained when I used to set off for work at 04.00 and it's quiet compared to my KTM RC8 with Jester exhaust!

Enjoy.
I've the sports boxes & 200 cell x pipe cats on my C4. I think they've settled down in the 18 months I've had them on, but maybe I'm just familiar witht them by now! The car is a weekend toy though my friends who I tend to go out with in a group say it's still the loudest of the group of 996s with another having Dansk boxes. The setup I've got does give a burble on the overrun by the way. It all depends what you're use to (I've had Fabspeed type bypass pipes on before).
Thanks so much for all your replies folks.
I've the car back and running now but I'm rev limited at the moment due to rebuild. I'm more inclined to run them and see if they grow on me now judging by the comments above!
We make them in batches of 100 pairs at a time and usually shipping around half a dozen pairs per week minimum.
Despite my best efforts on the copy text of the product ad to stress they are the loudest mainstream pair of 996 silencers i'm aware of and the video's we have, we do still occasionally get people wanting to return them for being too loud. Never had anyone yet try to return the mild sports boxes for being too quiet though :?:
Definitely louder than Dansk.
Personal taste obviously varies. Am usually inclined to steer people to the mild sports pair unless they are dead certain they want a loud sound. We sell 2 pairs of mild pairs for every pair of sports pair, roughly.

I've attached a sound clip of mine a few posts down. They sound epic in my (and everyone that's heard it) opinion. The only thing I'm going to change is the 4 tips back into 2 oval. I've been told this alters how they sound? Not sure if it's true or not!!
