Thinking of changing the coils and plugs on my 08 cayman s . Car has 52 k on it . I know I changed the plugs and maybe the coils when I bought the car. Car gets maybe 3k a year on it. Oil changed every year and brake flush every 2. Any thoughts on what else should be done on the car. Belt etc . Any recommendations on coil and plug choice as Porsche parts seem crazy expensive. Thanks

Your accessory belt should be changed if it hasn't been done recently. I changed my coils and plugs on my car and ordered it through FCP Euro . Yes, you are getting into the mileage range where the water pump will go. If you're doing the belt you might as well do the pump and thermostat as well. Check out posts here for the pump change, it can be done without losing much coolant.

Oh, that 5% will come in handy. I've had 4 E46s and know that lots of rubber and plastic bits can go bad...
